Mr Hugh 2021 The Blarney Block Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2021 harvest and vintage will go down as “one of the greats “in the premium wine growing regions of Australia. So it was with great delight that I was offered some Cabernet fruit from the famous Blarney Block vineyard in Coonawarra SA. The last wine I made from these old vines was the 2013 Mr Hugh Cabernet – which is still building and drinking beautifully. If you like great Cabernet – this is the wine for you.

“Recommended. Top Rank. January 2023. Super intense saturated purple/red colour; the bouquet is youthful and fresh and loaded with blackberry Cabernet varietal aromas, with a whisper of tomato bush. It’s likewise bright and punchy on the palate, with concentrated Cabernet flavour and measured, balancing tannins weaving a fine web of grip. Will highly reward some cellaring. Drink 2025 – 2041."
